Albania

Regarding obtaining a residence permit, the Albanian government grants anyone who purchases a property a one-year residence permit. In the case that you choose to reside in Albania for longer, this permit can be easily renewed.
After residing in Albania for five years one is entitled to Albanian citizenship. The Albanian passport allows holders to travel Visa-free to over 100 different countries including the Schengen Zone, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

It is interesting to note that Albania is very friendly to Americans in particular. Americans can stay in Albania for one year uninterrupted without receiving additional approval. This can give you a buffer to find housing and get legally registered.
Mexico

One can obtain a temporary residence permit in Mexico by providing a bank statement certifying over USD 27,000 in the past year, or by proving a monthly income over USD 1,620.
This permit is usually issued for one year, but it is renewable for an additional three years. After four years of holding a Mexican temporary residence permit, one is eligible for Mexican permanent residency.
After obtaining permanent residency and residing in Mexico for over one year, the permit holders are entitled to Mexican citizenship. Keep in mind that to receive Mexican citizenship. One must have Spanish language skills and pass a test about Mexican history, culture, and values. If you are looking for a tier-B Passport that has access to the EU, then Mexico could be an option for you.

Brazil (Investor Visa)

Upon investing 92,000 USD or more into real estate in Brazil, you will be eligible to apply for permanent residence. Permanent residence (PR) must be renewed every three years to retain validity.
After four years of Permanent residency (PR) in Brazil, PR holders are eligible to apply for Brazilian citizenship. With a Brazilian passport, one can travel Visa-free to countries such as Europe’s Schengen Zone, New Zealand, the UK, and Russia.
